Oxilates are compounds found in many foods. They can become problematic at high levels and cause histamine release.
Oxilate sources:
- Green curly kale (dino Kale is okay)
- Most beans
- Most seeds
- Nuts (almonds and cashews)
- Okra
- Potatoes
- Spinach
- Sweet potatoes
- Swiss chard
- Vitamin C
Dr. Michael Ruscio has some great information on how to diagnose and treat oxilate sensitivity.
